Simplicity
Your privacy matters. Here's how we protect it.
Last Updated: November 29, 2025
Simplicity is built with privacy at its core. Your tasks stay on your device. We don't collect, read, store, or sell your personal data. What you do with Simplicity is your business, not ours.
This Privacy Policy explains how Simplicity ("we," "our," or "us") handles information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By using Simplicity, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.
We do not collect any personal information. Simplicity is designed to work entirely on your device without requiring user accounts, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal identifiers.
All task data you create in Simplicity is stored locally on your device using SQLite database technology. This includes:
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to back up your device. We have no access to your tasks and cannot read, modify, or delete them.
We do not collect usage analytics, crash reports, or any telemetry data. We do not track how you use the App, which features you interact with, or when you use the App.
We do not collect any device information such as device ID, operating system version, device model, or mobile network information.
Since we don't collect any information, we don't use any information. Your task data remains on your device and is used solely by the App to provide its core functionality:
All data is stored locally on your device using industry-standard SQLite database technology. This data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including:
We do not use any cloud services to store your data. There are no remote servers, no cloud backups, and no data synchronization. Your data exists only on your physical device.
If you use iCloud Backup (iOS) or Google Drive Backup (Android), your task data may be included in your device backup. This is controlled by your device's operating system, not by Simplicity. We recommend reviewing your device's backup settings if you have privacy concerns.
We do not share any data with third parties because we don't collect any data.
Simplicity does not integrate with or use any third-party services, including:
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties. This has always been our policy and always will be.
Simplicity requests minimal permissions to function:
If you grant notification permissions, the App can send you local notifications when tasks are about to expire. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers or services.
The App requires access to your device's local storage to save your task data. This storage is private to the App and cannot be accessed by other applications.
You can revoke any permissions at any time through your device settings. Revoking permissions may limit certain features of the App.
All your data is accessible directly within the App. You can view, edit, and delete your tasks at any time.
You have complete control over your data:
Once deleted from your device, the data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered (unless backed up through your device's backup system).
Since all your data is stored locally, you maintain full control and ownership. Future versions of Simplicity may include export functionality to allow you to transfer your data to other applications or formats.
Simplicity does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since we don't collect any personal information from anyone, the App is safe for users of all ages. However, we recommend parental supervision for children using any mobile application.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by:
Your continued use of Simplicity after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
Simplicity is available worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device and we don't collect any information, there are no international data transfers or cross-border privacy concerns.
Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and other regions with data protection regulations can use Simplicity with confidence knowing that no personal data is collected, processed, or transferred.
Because we don't collect personal data, most GDPR requirements don't apply to Simplicity. However, we respect the principles of GDPR including data minimization, purpose limitation, and user control.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we want to be clear:
We strive to comply with privacy laws in all jurisdictions where Simplicity is available. Our privacy-first approach exceeds the requirements of most data protection regulations.
